Dr. Giuseppe Chiaramonte

Bio:

Current Role-U.S. State Department English Language Fellow Nukus, Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan; Professor Nukus State Pedagogical Institute

Dr. Chiaramonte is an international educator who has taught ESL at the middle school, high school, and college levels in the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, and Uzbekistan. His doctoral research focused on teacher self-efficacy and its effect on ESL student assessment outcomes. Currently, Dr. Chiaramonte is an English Language Fellow with the U.S. State Department in Nukus, Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan where he is responsible for instructing a diverse cadre of English Second Language learners and training faculty and administration in current English Language Learner curriculum and assessment strategies. His primary duties include teaching classes for third and fourth year teaching students at Nukus State Pedagogical Institute. Secondary duties and/or projects include organizing, facilitating and keynote speaking at TESOL conferences in Central Asia, teaching workshops at language schools; organizing, developing, and coaching the inaugural Women’s Sports Club at Nukus Pedagogical Institute, facilitating professional development for teachers and administrators throughout Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and working alongside the local community to promote English language acquisition and shared cultural experiences.

Hannah Landers Organ, MA

Current Role-U.S. State Department English Language Fellow Tashkent, Uzbekistan; Professor Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute

Hannah Landers Organ graduated with a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language from Northern Arizona University and with a Master’s in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona. For the past 11 years, she has been an educator in the United States, China, and Uzbekistan. Hannah is currently a US State Department English Language Fellow in Tashkent, Uzbekistan where she is a professor at Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute. Hannah brings a wealth of English Second Language expertise, knowledge, and experience to the Language Bridge Academic Journal Advisory Board.
